This was a fun theory. That picture and the writing by the gearbox suggests the park was definitely different at some time. However if Lloyd was the mascot I wonder what caused them to go in another direction.

Fun fact, on the Winnie the Pooh ride at Disney they have an Easter egg of Mr. Toad giving away the deed to the ride like we see here. Makes sense because the game is heavily inspired by Disney.

Something I haven't heard anyone cover yet is that in the old video of the parks founder, you can see a painting of Loyd to the right of the main gate, but when you get into the game, Rambly is painted there instead, which actually supports this theory more.

Honestly the evidence points to it. I mean, the statue makes sense, his cameo in the opening sequence, the oswald the bunny parallels. It's probably why Rambley is envious of Lloyd in the first place, and I think he's not aware he wasn't the og mascot (the painting in the train station doesn't count, he didn't physically do it)

Also explains the Mollie animatronic's glitchy lines ending with something that sounds like "Hey there, Lloyd!" and why there's no Lloyd animatronic in that back area, just Mollie and Finley. And, for that matter, why Lloyd's spot on the railroad ride is so small compared to the rest of them. Definitely raises the question of why they needed such a sudden rebrand.

Though I also wonder how aware of that past the Rambly AI actually is; if the change in mascot was something they felt the need to cover up for some reason, what if Rambly's distaste of Lloyd was set so none of the park guests could ask questions about it? Shouldn't he *know* why Lloyd got a throwback plush first?

That photo of Loyd giving the deed to Rambly is a fun reference to Mr. toad’s wild ride in Disney world where it used to be a scary dark ride but was changed to a Winnie the poo dark ride and while on the Winnie the poo ride you can find a picture frame of Mr. Toad giving the deed too Rabbit.

Something you probably missed in the speech where the creator of the park we see in the background a Lloyd poster but when go to that same spot in game we see it’s replaced with a rambley poster instead of Lloyd

Yes, Lloyd is the oldest being a toon and being there since the start. Or at least that’s my opinion, nice short btw :)
