I'm a guitar player, and I'm just playing a random song, and I came across a song with palm mute on the bass (which is pretty rare), and I have no idea how to do palm mute on a bass... So I just tried a random technique, and it works, but then I decided to watch a tutorial on YouTube to get the proper technique, and apparently this is exactly the same as the random technique that I just tried earlier...

Thank you for teaching this rookie. I always wondered how tf you could play without using your thumb. Maybe its because I have small hands but when I try to use my plucking fingers my palm raises off the strings.

my arms are kinda short but i can do it now but i think i should call is a wrist mute since im using a 4 string

I can't seem to get every string muted right. I think my palm is too small to do all frets at the same time😭

I use another type of technique, consists of regular fingerstyle but you mute the bridge with your pinky. ¿Opinions?
