It's really funny that we actually have no idea whether the head band this thing uses to stay on your head will be included in the box or not. Imagine buying the goggles for $3500 and then being asked to fork over another $50 or so to make sure it doesn't suddenly fly off your face.

For $3500 you could probably buy a two or more big monitors and an upgrade for your computer. It wont have a 2 hour battery life, you wont look goofy using them, it'll be infinitely more repairable, and you dont even need to buy whole separate lenses if you need glasses

The biggest challenge VR will continue to face is that it's VR. No matter how cool or accessible it gets, it's still gonna have to overcome the hurdles of 1) Wearing a device on your face for extended periods of time, and B) Bypassing the existential dread that we're another step closer to a dystopian future.
