WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING?!? My 15 card SGC submission reveal

I love getting cards graded. I’m borderline addicted to sending my sports cards to PSA, Beckett and SGC. But this most recent order to SGC made me question my sanity. We’ll call this 15 card reveal video…WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING?!?

I received an email the other day from SGC telling me that my cards had been graded and my grades were ready to view. When I looked at the grades online, I was less upset about the grades and more concerned with my own mental health. From the list online, it appeared that the cards I sent to SGC to get graded were not my best. Plus, I spent $30 per card to get those cards graded – it didn’t feel great.

However, once I got the cards back and opened the SGC package, I remembered again why I sent them to SGC to get graded.

I like SGC and the Tux slabs look great. But I’m a PSA guy and next time I’ll be more patient!

Those all look great in the tux 🔥. I like SGC, I’ve only ever submitted to them, but watch out for CSG, especially if you send in bulk ($12/card).

My son had a PSA 9 Pokémon card. Decided to break it out and sent it to SGC and got a 6. Told him sometimes it’s better to happy with what you have

SGC is quickly gaining steam. They will eventually close the gap in resale prices between them and PSA/BGS

I completely get it. I love SGC and the tux, but I'm not sending them anything else at their current price point. I've got a box with 1030 cards to grade with SGC as soon as their pricing drops to a more reasonable level.

Grading plates is always a losing proposition, they get beat up in the process. SGC is brutal on front/back surface and centering.

I mean as long as you enjoy what you have that's what matters. I've been collecting since I was a child and could get cards pack for like 50cents, yes there's some added security to slabs, personally though I've got very few slabs. For display purposes I may get a few of my favorites but just because everyone else is doing it doesn't mean I am. SGC I believe grades better than PSA. I know some of these newer guys aren't doing well but I also believe they grade more accurately. Just because we pay doesn't mean we should get a 10. I'm buying one of the card tools to measure centering and one of the lights, for me that money better spent

I just sent in my first SGC submission a week or so ago. Like you said, I love the tux slabs. Everything I sent in was from my PC that I wanted slabbed and protected. Sent in a couple of my Dad's 1977 Topps Star Wars Luke #1's and a C-3PO "golden rod" error 😂 we can't wait to see what they come back as!

SGC I feel grades tougher but I really do like their slabs and definitely the better option to submit myself. PSA is only $50 a card if you become a member for $100 a year and even then you need to get picked in their lottery as far as I know.

Psa isn't what it used to be. People will start turning away from them. I already have . Psa grades are so unpredictable. SGC in my humble opinion is the way to go....even if your cards were graded by psa I don't see any cards that grading would of took it up to the next price point. Just your basic 90s cards

Nothing wrong with getting PC Cards slabbed it’s your money but if your looking for resale sgc vintage does well the magic rookie in a 7 isn’t bad

Man, tough crowd in the comment section. “Why do people grade junk?” It’s amazing how people can’t understand not everyone is in this hobby to make money. Some people actually enjoy collecting cards. Can’t wait for these covid “investors” to leave the hobby for good.
