A French reflexive verb indicates that the action is being performed on the subject. It's made of a reflexive pronoun and a conjugated verb. It can be conjugated in all tenses but we are going to focus only on the present tense today.

Fantastic video, for a difficult subject. I think (as probably do a lot of people) I struggle with understanding when to use a reflexive verb and when not to. Sometimes it makes sense, I'm "doing something to myself", example washing myself. That makes sense. But the brushing my teeth one just doesn't. It seems like I should simply be able to say "je brosse mes dents". Reflexive verbs is definitely going to take me some time.

Interesting video. Like many things in French, the grammar is the easier bit. Recognising reflexive verbs and reflexive constructions and their meanings is the part I find difficult. They appear in all sorts of places and it can be challenging to decode them.
