During the Cold War, tension between the Soviet Union and the West was at its highest. Sport and the arts, however, provided a bridge over these troubled cultural waters. On the Soviet side, both the Red Army Choir and Russian figure skating pairs team Rodnina and Zaitsev let this piece speak on behalf of Russia's culture

A catchy tune with lyrics that celebrate the beauty of the Russian countryside and its power to fan the flames of love, this piece makes a great addition to a guitarist's repertoire for parties and other festive occasions.
