how can I open control panel if I have problems with search menu - is not showing anything from my PC is sending the results only on web or to play store, I managed y typing control panel in RUN but when I click on REBUILD indexing it doesn't do it but says that is paused and I didn't paused it. :(( I am trying for months to fix this problem.

When i try to enter the check search settings in my setting >> privacy and security >> searching window the whole setting windows closes. .

also in my task bar searching is suspended

Windows is apparently " retiring " the indexing troubleshooter.. There's video on youtube on how to run it but don't bother, its not doing a thing.

Thanks for the video. You definitely should have led with check for updates. It is late and I was tired (and did not want to mess anything up) so I did not complete any of the tasks other than running the trouble shooter, which did nothing. I did find a cumulative update was pending for my computer, so I downloaded it and the problem was fixed with just that.
