This is a fantastic video Blue. I never understood how these things were supposed to work and looked like magic to me. You gave a great description and step by step for the process. I am definitely going to be making this on my island to help sort out all the stuff I have in multiple chest. Again like always a fantastic video Blue and can not wait for the next one. Keep up the great work. 😃☕️

Now there’s really no way I can continue to justify the state of my storage “process”. This is a great help! Thanks Blue!

Outstanding Tutorial ! Can't express how important it is to show this step by step as you have.It is certainly showing how comparitors act with the water and a clock, , , amazing Blue ! Just what I was looking for

To avoid overflow breaking the system totally, put a space between each column of chests. Great vid as always!!!!

Is there a way to sort more than one item in one chest? Like if I want melons and melon seeds in the same chest or gold blocks, gold nuggets, gold ingots in one chest

You should do a tutorial on how to build a super smelter! This is so easy to follow! I love it!!

Damn, I never understood redstone stuff, especially storage sorting systems, but this makes it look so easy tbh. My storage rn, pre-sorting system kinda looks like random stuff just put into random chests. Like, something can have crafting tables, concrete powder, axolotls, random armor, ... so I'm definitely gonna be making this. You also explained how to expand, which in hindsight is pretty easy tbh, but I couldn't wrap my brain around it before you did. Anyway, thanks for the tutorial and making everything easy to understand ^^

I was having an issue when loading multiple stacks of one item type, and them getting hung up on the first slab in the water chute. This resulted in a lot of overflow since a whole stack would build up and zoom down, with the hopper only able to catch 30-40 of the stack. I added one more repeater on zero ticks to the clock and it seemed to fix this issue. Zero overflow now, Java 1.19. it does slow it down a bit, about one item per second or roughly a minute a stack

Thank you so much! I built an amazing storage system with 12 of these Segments, took a LOT of resources but now I get to automaticaly sort 197 items! Huge time saver with easy organised storage!! You're a gem mate!

Blue, as always you show me that even though I've been playing for like 9 years, you show me I'm a noob lmao! I know I’m a little late to the party but I genuinely feel this is a great design as I’m about to build it myself, my one issue is the overuse of glass. I’m playing in survival and I don’t have easy access to sand so gathering the listed amount (98) would be really difficult, come to find out that most of it isn’t at all necessary and could just as well be stone. You even acknowledge that the use of slabs is optional ( 9:30 ) but you never mention the glass in the same way. Either way, great tutorial, very easy to follow.

is there a way to fix items getting stuck in hoppers? I've seen ppl say the put chest to make the items go along the edge of the glass, but i dont understand how i would do that if the item input is not at an angle its just straight.

1.18+ Bedrock players: Tutorial doesn't work as is. Items in water streams for some reason don't travel as far, they only travel 6 blocks instead of 8. You can adapt this design by shortening it by 2 blocks. So instead of 8 blocks in between the two pillars, place 6. Be careful while placing the water though, it will overflow since it is not traveling the full 8 blocks.

Thank-you for a very methodical tutorial. The part of delaying the dropper was especially helpful as I’ve had significant overflow on my current item sorter.

Fabulous video, really really helpful for me since I've never done anything redstone related before. Very well explained throughout, and I absolutely am loving how this is turning out in my world! I'm a super organized person, but I've never been able to do any of the fancy sorting builds, so I'm super glad I found your tutorial!
