Deadly fire engulfs entire apartment building in Valencia, Spain

A deadly fire consumed a 14-story apartment building in the Spanish city of Valencia. Several residents had to be rescued from their balconies as the flames quickly spread from the fourth floor.

The reason this fire occurred was the same reason London's 2017 Grenfell Tower Fire happened, killing 73 people and changing the legislation about the use of polyurethane as an insulating material in buildings. This fire has already killed 4 and 20 are missing (most likely dead, under the remains of the buildings). I hope there are as less fatalities as possible, thanks to all of those sending prayers from all around the world 🙏🏽

Are we looking at a high-rise apartment building which was NOT equipped with working fire sprinklers? In hindsight, do the builders/owners now FINALLY understand the consequences of their bad decisions?

It reminds me of that horrible apartment building fire in London several years ago. Did this building have flammable cladding like the Grenfell Tower in London?

Amazing how long the building was on fire for and yet it's still standing with far less structural integrity and steel beams than the 2 towers.

I’ve watched buildings be built near where I live ( Midwest USA) and I would not ever choose to live in them, made of all wood framing, flimsy looking, I would rather choose an old brick and mortar building vs new. No idea what this building was but obvious was flammable materials.

Wow! Look at that, a raging fire throughout the entire high-rise building and it didn't collapse at free fall speed into it's own footprint. One should wonder how 3 buildings with much less raging fires all collapsed into their own footprint at free fall speed in one single day. Hmmm..curious

This makes me so sad for innocent animals who didn't get out. Worried and sad for the people affected of course, but animals are always the first to perish in situations like this. So so scary and sad. Poor babies...
