My Supercharged Miata is - unimpressive??

My first drive in my supercharged miata did not impress me. In this video I talk about what I experienced and how 'I've improved things.

Good explanation on the stock tunes. While I went the BBR turbo route, the tune was smooth from idle to redline but the power was way off compared to the 210 whp advertising. I absolutely recommend having a reputable tuner do a custom tune.

Thanks for this. I've been interested in supercharging mine but was not sure if it was even noticeable enough. I was going for the Edelbrock supercharger kit as well. They said the CARB tune so that it is legal in California only makes 190hp or so.

so the fav9 tune was the night and day difference compared to the edelbrock? That's crazy! I heard that before but this confirms it I guess.

i wasn't impressed with the stock tune. i added headers, exhaust, and custom tune. 2018 took months to trouble shoot.

Please check out engineering explained's video on his experience. He had low throttle response before getting his worked out. He seems to be enjoying his now.

Has anybody done a smaller pulley, race gas, max effort dyno tune on one of these? TVS900 is awfully small, too bad they couldn't design a kit to make the TVS1320 fit.

I know this video is a year old, but does edelbrock sell the supercharger kit without their tuner. This way I can just buy the fab9 tuner?
