We don't just talk, we act - And we're doing it today! 🌱
By placing an order with the SMS Group for the first direct reduction plant with innovative melters, we are taking a decisive step on the way to climate-neutral #steel production. With this plant, we will be able to save over 3.5 million tons of carbon dioxide per year in the production of sustainable steel at our plant in #Duisburg in the future.
The direct reduction plant, which will prospectively run on #hydrogen, will be the largest "DR plant" in Germany and will then replace one of our blast furnaces. 💧
