When we have a storm many people die after the storm as power is turned on. People walk through water and it only takes a 1/4” of water such as what your sprinklers put down in the yard and there will be shorts in the wiring which kill people. Once the power hits a person there body locks up and they are dead. The power should never be turned on immediately after a storm until the ground is dry because the power company can’t tell if there is flooding over the entire area that the electricity covers. It can simply be a person walking through their house that was only lightly flooded and only the carpet is wet. No one should walk through any levels of water including damp carpet. When the power comes on it will cost you your life

We need to help rebuild States that are hurting from natural disasters, it's just florida that feels needs to make some serious major changes. It's good money going to bad investments. This cycle of year after year of predictable devastation from hurricanes in Florida. Your not going to stop Hurricanes from hitting Florida. Florida needs to limit damages to minimize cost. Every year it cost more and more to rebuild in Florida. FEMA money needs to be used to help our country, but not wasted on the same repeated disasters over and over. Florida needs to make some very hard decisions. Insurance companies have or are leaving left florida for this issue.
