I am so confused---if the contact expires above my cost or strike...i get to sell the stock at profit plus premium? If below--contract expires, but I keep premium? thanks. very confusing to me

Im trying my firt sale of a covered call for gopro...but there is no premiums listed for above my cost? only below my cost? I thought if the price goes down then the contract expires and I collect the premium?

Is there a video where you show what happened on the expiration date? How to clear it? Or does RH automatically removed it at expiration date? And I still own 100 shares and can do another covered call??

Suppose you write a covered call on Monday and options expire on Friday.
Also say that the stock rises to above your strike price and you sell your shares.
Then, you decide to buy back your shares at the new price on the same day (Monday in this case).
Could you not write another covered call on the same day? Why do you have to restrict yourself to doing this only once per week? Could you not do this several times per week as long as the stock is called away?

Can you sell at anytime and collect what the options is worth then or do you have to wait until it expires?

didn't you essentially sell your shares?, current price is 4.97$ and the covered call was for 5$

I got AMC long ago when it was $50, now if I go to trade option it’s not giving me the options to enter a price not even min credit, just sell, note: my Robinhood not showing level 3 unlocked

So i can do covered call without owning the 100 shares of the stock or is it necessary to own the 100 share first and then trade the covered call?
