Giant Ant Farm from Uncle Milton

Product Info: The Giant Ant Farm, from Uncle Milton, is recommended for ages 6+. It comes with an ant habitat with four connecting ant ports, 2 bags of tunneling sand, a tunnel starter tool, an antway connector tube, and an ant-watcher's guide. You will also receive an online code to order your live harvesting ants. Once your ants arrive, you will be instructed to refrigerate them for 15 minutes in order to slow them down to make transfer to their habitat easier. This does not harm them, and once in the habitat, they will soon get to work digging tunnels, building bridges, and moving mountains. Ants eat most anything and you can add food and water directly into the habitat. Like humans, they were less enthusiastic about the carrot we fed them, but went nuts for the sweet cookie we served. To be honest, I was a little hesitant to review the Giant Ant Farm, but once I started observing I couldn't get enough. The 12" viewing screen makes watching easy. It's great to see them work hard, and then take breaks to play and wrestle with each other. But my favorite thing to watch is how cute they are when they clean their tiny faces. This is a STEM product and a great educational tool for the home or classroom. Children will enjoy watching the ants, and learning all about their habits. They will also get a quick lesson in death, as these little guys do not live long. The good news is that you can easily re-order more ants to populate your farm. It's really inspiring to see the ants work together as a colony - perhaps more people need to see this too, so we can all work together to make a better world for everyone - from the tiniest ants to the biggest humans.

Without a queen, the ants will just live out their normal lifespan (about a month) with no new ants being born.

So your ant farm will likely turn into a barren wasteland filled with insect corpses in about 4 weeks.
