I'm leaving California because even though I have a masters level education in mechanical engineering I'm still being used for physical labor jobs disguised as tech jobs after 10 years. I've been here 43 years. My entire life. Im leaving next week for Florida

I would understand if he said, taxes, cost of living, smog, excessive regulation, etc.

Born in 1955 and raised in Hollywood California. In my youth it was the land of milk and honey. Without a doubt the finest city in the world. Then from about 2010 until I left in 2018, the quality of life completely deteriorated. Crime, homelessness, traffic, cost of living, state and local taxes and unaffordable housing! You couldn’t purposely screw up a city as badly as these corrupt and incompetent state and local politicians have done. I now live in a beautiful tropical beach resort in Thailand 🇹🇭 and no longer have to pay state taxes to the scumbags in that state who squander it away!

I lived in California 49 years. Left in 2019. Moved to the most conservative state in the country. I wouldn't live in a liberal state if it was the last patch of dirt on Earth. It is just amazing what people will tolerate when they're liberal.

"i LeFt kAliFonIeN nOw LiFe eS PerFeKt" The guy bought a house in the suburbs and doesn't go outside of it. Vegas has blazing hot weather during the summer, it's got hoods, gangs, and homeless/crazy dangerous people on the strip/Fremont street. It's cheaper to live in but it's far from perfect.

California is great, outside of LA. The weather is perfect year round. You could say it's expensive but so is every other major city, and for what you get, you're getting more value than the other major US cities. Live below your means, and enjoy what you take for granted and you'll never dream of escaping to anywhere else.

Even the homeless people are different out there. In Victorville CA I literally have to worry about loosing my life every day and night. In Vegas I was never scared, ever. And it was very homeless friendly.

Thanks to all you California people. Things are getting more expensive out here and more crowded out here. It now takes half an hour to an hour to get across town. You are making it California 2.0 us people in Vegas can't even get a house because you guys buy houses with cash before we can even look at them! It's getting bad.
