I like that the alarm system is programmed to react specifically to Freeman picking it up, meaning the staff already thought of Freeman as a dangerous killing machine BEFORE the resonance cascade

would make sense though I'd imagine the design would look more primitive as well as big rather then just a big version of the final design

Would be only natural for them to have this since they were already abusing Xen and the various forces of nature for teleportation.

I wonder how they'd find the power generators to power this thing, though, since the spectrometer was already eating way too much.

I didn't expect this being used to break a couple layers of wall and a door behind it.

And what's with the Xen soldiers spawning ? Seems like they were forcibly teleported in, given the effect around the impact point.
