Subcarrier Arrangement in 802.11n/ac 20MHz Channel | @leostechtalk | wifi | subcarrier |
Показать описание
Welcome to my Channel 'Leo's Tech Talk'.
In the 802.11n or 802.11ac wireless communication standard, subcarriers are used in the Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) modulation scheme. OFDM divides the channel into multiple closely spaced orthogonal subcarriers, allowing for efficient data transmission and better handling of multipath interference.
The total number of subcarriers in 802.11n or 802.11ac 20MHz channel is 64 because the standard use Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing OFDM with a Fast Fourier Transform FFT size of 64.
Subcarrier allocation for a 20 MHz channel:
Total Subcarriers: 64
Data Subcarriers: 52
Pilot Subcarriers: 4
Guard Subcarriers: 7
Null subcarriers: 1
