I've seen more comments as of late discussing the third Orb Mother in Fortuna. As a result here is a video documenting developer comments about the idle lake dwelling orb mother on top of briefly recapping the releases of the orb mothers since Fortuna's release on PC in 2018.

I tried something new with the Developer comment section for this video and I would appreciate your thoughts. I mainly took the plunge with a new editing technique this upload due to edits making the original clips janky.

So the take away is when DE announces something it could be years before its in the game.

I like how they said they wanted the bossfights to be a big event, akin to “ocean’s 11 but with explosions” or something like that, but made the profit taker a really long bounty, and the exploiter just kinda got thrown in with a random ghoul-tier event that repeats every so often (and even then the fight itself is kinda lackluster all things considered)

oh man, kinda forgot about the missing third orb... even thou the orb fights are more fun for me compared to the tridolon, the lack of information and the overall huge mess that last year was maybe next year or so

Judging by how many years DE has been half-assedly planning to rework the pathetic and ancient Sargeant into the forgotten Nef Anyo fight, that third orb mother is probably gonna remain in that lake for another decade.

Maybe since railjack is out now, the third fight will require squad link and will end with a railjack nuking the thing from orbit.

I guess the name of third orb mother... the digger, the digger is an black orb mother that it can be found in the big pond. But if you do the quest eliminate the orb digger, the digger will try to drill with laser inside the fortuna to destroy the whole civiliance. It will be the sabotaging the drill system to stop the dig siting under the fortuna.

Now if only someone can get DE to say something about The Sergeant being "The Next" boss rework(Said by Rebecca after/around Rathuum's launch) for the past 3 years.... And why other, later game, bosses seemingly took priority....

Now that its been more than 2 years since the launch of Fortuna, I feel that the third orb is wasted potential that has been scrapped. Most of the hype has died off from Fortuna and there really isn't anything else to do once completed.

This is a year old....but this third orb is officially going to be a raid or trial boss.

What if the 3rd orb is the oldest model that corpus made, and the core went unstable and constantly overheating itself, thats why it is cooling down itself in that pond, because if it steps out, it probably will explode. Then they make Exploiter which has cooling down systems, but it is needed to be done manually by her children, further proof that Exploiter is older than Profit Taker is the destruction of Deck 12, which took place years ago when Rude Zudd 's sisters still alive. Profit Taker is probably the latest model which her everything is being controlled by a Corpus satellite thats recharging the shield constantly and also resisting many sort of damages, which preventing her core from overheating and explode unless we beat her up causing alot of stresses in her systems.
