You forgot to mention, Yamato has been riding Garurumon for 6 weeks in the same exact desert.

I am happy Sora is bascially the second lead for now.

I totally agree that the others need some screen time. Like, at least an episode for them or smth

may be they needed Holy Digimon and their patners as sacrifices. Both Takeru and Hikari were captured so were their Patner Digimons

I would really like to see Izzy doing something else other than just riding on Kabuterimon's back looking at his laptop. Izzy deserves his own arc.

Imagine if at some point Joe's arc ends with him leading an army of Nanimon

I’ll be surprised if Joe is anyone’s favorite lol. But I do agree that others need more screen time

They did that a lot in the old series where they pushed Joe and the others back for the five main favorites, Tai, Matt, TK and Kari and to some extent Sora. I noticed that in the old series Joe, Izzy "Koshiro" and Mimi didn't have much development even when their Digimon digivolved into Ultimate but in this series they had better development and decided okay, let's focus on our favorites. It's as if they just did their development first cuz maybe people complained and they're like "Okay, they grew up so let's focus on everyone's favorite cast" despite I think Sora and Matt are still least developed. Sora didn't have conflicting issues with her crest like last time and Matt is just well..there. Maybe because it's possible that the Digidestine aren't aware of the crest meanings unless it was told a while back and I forgot.

I love Kari and Gatomon finally meeting and we finally have them but I do miss the development that Gatomon had in the old where she was abused and became a loner. Now we understand why she maybe a loner in the new series but it was easiest to relate to her in the old series. Hopefully, we'll see more development in next episode.

If you re-watch the original Japanese version of 01, you realize that Sora is quite literally the heart of the team. She's even the one who convinces the other children to follow Taichi as their leader in the arena. She expresses trust in her best friend, and she convinces the others to do the same. And when Sora runs off to find Taichi the group falls apart.

I really don't understand why the new writers don't seem to understand how important she is for Taichi and everyone else.

I'm a mimi fan and I THINK THAT THEY COULD'VE PUT ALL THE SCENES IN ONE EPISODE

I think it makes sense to assume that the digidestined are protected with a special power from their bond with their digimon when they attack. That seems to be an ongoing theme in this version🤔

I have a feeling that Jyou and Mimi were stalled from helping others so they were misdirected to something else. Jyou relaxing in the bath and Mimi in the celebration.

Seems like there’s some room to intro new DigiDestined whether they’re targets for the sacrifice (Meiko?) or willing participants (Ken?) — this show is really keeping us guessing !

At least let Joe study to be a doctor if he's not going to do anything lol

I think it's pretty clear, even just by watching the intro animation, that Taichi is Adventure:'s main protagonist, and it's mostly his story. Even Yamato is downplayed in this series. I'm fine with that, honestly, and it's good that they're pretty open about it when the original series really struggled to pretend that kids who weren't Taichi and Yamato were as important as they are.

As for who might be the next sacrifice for Millenniumon, I'm going to put my money on Ken. I think we will see the 02 kids in this series, and Ken of course has established history with Millenniumon in the original continuity. He's also the only 02 kid who actually had an original Digivice and embodies a Crest, sort of making him the 9th Chosen Child from the first generation.
And if he is used as a sacrifice, that can easily lead into a redone Digimon Kaiser arc for a sequel series, since the Dark Seeds from the original Millenniumon were what caused Ken's negative emotions to transform him.

Hey, just watch basically every video you have posted and you have really helped me understand where it's going and actually start looking forward to new episodes again. Amazing content. Thanks, Billian for the recommendation.

This was another solid episode. An 8/10 from me, another solid episode that could have been a lot better if the rest of the DigiDestined were here to help in the fight and celebrate the addition of Tailmon(Gatomon).

I'm not gonna go into anything, except three things. First of all, last week I jokingly replied to someone about Ken becoming the Digimon Emperor and become the new henchman of Millenniummon once Skullknightmon fails, but now that his sacrifice failed, I'm starting to think that Ken might actually be the sacrifice since he is the only known evil DigiDestined in this universe. Second of all, I love how they ended Skullkightmon's arc, starting out as Devimon's henchman, then turning out to be Millenniummon's henchman, and going as far as sacrificing himself to revive Milleniummon. Skullknightmon was a great villain and I wish we could have seen more of him. Finally, Tailmon's(Gatomon's) introduction felt a little blandish. Only Patamon and Hikari really acknowledged the existence of Tailmon(Gatomon), but it looked like that might have been something similar to dark water that Hikari had to get through so maybe they are gonna finally gonna bring up the dark ocean again after 20 YEARS of not even one mention of it.

I really liked this episode but it could have been way better had they maybe given it more to work with. Hopefully, sometime soon, the DigiDestined will meet up again and we won't have to wait another month just to see Joe still bathing in the hot spring, or Koshiro flying through the skies. And what the hell happened to Yamato? he was just kicked out of this episode completely, we didn't even get an update on him. Hopefully, he comes in and helps Taichi's group help MarineAngemon next episode

I think, relating to the stuff between millenniummon and the legendary digi destined, the last sacrifice will be all the 8 kids, and then, we will see the ark with taichi’s agumon and the legendary tamer. But this is a quick-thought theory, so I won’t “put my hand on the fire” for it.
