Yellow | Swiftpaw PMV

Wowie. After Art Fight and a bunch of animating I was pretty burnt out but still wanted to do something. The idea for this PMV came to mind and so I went with it! It was a nice break and I thoroughly enjoyed experimenting more with After Effects (mostly just keyframe/tweening and using the 3D camera).

This PMV follows Swiftpaw from Warriors! It doesn't fully cover everything, mostly just his life growing up to being an apprentice, annoyed that his warrior ceremony was delayed continuously, the dogs, and a little bit of the aftermath.
I have a small AU with Longtail, his mentor, but I felt like the tone with the song better matched Swiftpaw. On another note I like to think they're unofficial half brothers.

The absolutely amazing thumbnail was done by my good friend Abby!! She graciously offered to do it for me and it's spectacular!

I’ve never seen anyone use a song sung in Japanese for Warriors! This fits very well.
(Also, when I saw the title, I had a good feeling what I was about to hear)

This pmv really shows off how much Swiftpaw had grown, , and the fact that he was almost Longtail’s size displays that Bluestar genuinely refused to make him a warrior — this is amazing, , keep up the great work !!

I really like how at the end it was Longtail grieving for swiftpaw and not Brightheart, I just feel like a lot of people look too much into Brightheart and swiftpaw, they were never even close yet everyone says they would’ve been mates if he survived, but Brightheart spent no time grieving, and if she really loved him I’m sure she would’ve. if it makes sense for anyone to grieve it would be Longtail, they had the bond of apprentice and mentor and Longtail probably blamed himself.

i really like the detail of swiftpaw being the only one with pupils! it kind of represents how he was the only one who hadn't turned a blind eye to bluestar. fantastic work btw!
