I was recently diagnosed (on Wednesday). I also have PCOS as well. For me it was urinating more frequently, my mouth literally being dry as concrete, I dropped 38 pounds in a month for no obvious reason, and lastly drinking two gallons of water of a day and unfortunately I was still thirsty. This is definitely something that I didn’t want because my mother passed away from Type 1, but I’m glad that I finally got some answers so I can start this new lifestyle!

I got diagnosed last year with type 2 after being pre diabetic for over 10 years and being diagnosed with PCOS two years ago. I experienced blurry eyesight, a natural maple syrup scent whenever I sweat, skin discoloration, feeling jittery, very low energy to the point where I couldn’t get out of bed and pretty much everything you said. It’s so exhausting to deal with but I wanted to comment and say thank you for this video. I try to find other people around my age who can relate online and it helps me feel less alone and understood by seeing this video. You did a really great job explaining the symptoms and signs.

Uncontrolled type 2 diabetes for 18 years, been on every pill, insulin, diet etc imaginable. Year ago my A1C was 13.9. Ozempic for the past 4 weeks (Xigduo prescribed as well but tapering off) and my numbers are INSANE! Fasting are between 60’s and 80’s. The side effects have been there and kicking my butt but powering through with ginger tea and sugar free Gatorade. Weight loss over 3 weeks approx 9 lbs. Your videos and testimony give me hope! God Bless you please keep the content coming!!!

I had hypoglycemia that would get triggered in situations of toxic stress (trauma, workplace, single parenting, adulting, etc, ) Symptoms: Extremely hungry, craving fatty foods, exhustion, and moodieness. Now Im T2D, and the main symptoms of hyperglycemia for me are blurry vision, dizziness, brain fog, confusion like being sotra loopy, no appitite, shortness of breath and exhustion. My bp is great 108/64. No prior pre diabetes. The main change for me in activity was abstaining from the gym due to Covid-19 (16 months) Prior, I was weight training 3 times per week and getting 10, 000 steps a day. Im on metformin. Initially I felt like I had a stomach flu. It was horrendous. No symptoms now. I've taken chrominum picolnate (500 mcg) to assist with metabolizing carbs, fats and protiens. I've done this twice at bedtime and its really helped. Other things that have helped at bedtime, drinking chai tea with added ginger and cinnomon no sugar no milk.

Mila-I’m Type 2. Diagnosed 10+ years ago. Have experienced all of what you reported. Am definitely in agreement about keeping blood sugars in right range. Learned that over these past years. Wish you were around 10 years ago. I was flying blind back then so to speak. Nice to share same exact experiences. Thanks.

Holycrap, just started Metformin because I was diagnosed 2 days ago and dealing with the nausea/ stomach ache & all your symptoms match mine! It sucks you have to feel it but it’s oddly nice knowing I’m not the only one. OMG I’m literally crying. Still stuck in limbo waiting for my type/bloodwork & cgm stuff…. I hate it. Thank you for sharing 🩷🙂

I also have LADA. Stress affects my blood sugars worse than anything. We keep juice boxes and fruit snacks in the house for my lows. Im learning to recognize the low cues so I can eat the proper foods and amounts so that I stay in range.

Hello 👋. I was just diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. It runs strong on my moms side of the family. I also had it while pregnant with all three of my kids but it went away after they were born. My lows are shaky, sweaty, lightheaded. My highs are lightheaded, dizzy, shaky. I can tell the difference between them. I have only been diagnosed with it since Monday of last week so it’s really new still. The hardest part for me is trying to find food that won’t spike my blood sugar.

I have genetic mutations for celiac disease and autoimmune diabetes. I have PCOS, pernicious anemia, autoimmune arthritis, UCTD. I’m currently on Ozempic, levothyroxine, Humira, etc.

I have just about every symptom .The extreme thirts, The excessive urination almost to the point of not going long distanced if there no bathroom availible, slow healing wounds, weight loss, pain at bottom of my feet, also last few years, I dont know if anyone else experience this, But everytime i eat anything starchy, potatoes, rice, pasta i fall right to sleep, I ate a donut recently & almost passed out, I been relating all this to my doctor yet still no further testing because she states my glucose level is normal, But when i requested my files to find a new doctor, My paper work stated diabetes type 2, when i asked her about it, she said it was an cant wait to see new doctor hopefully they take me serious....

Type 2 for some time, Metformin for a while. Side effects were wicked when I first started it then went away only to reappear with an increase in dosage, to again go away. They tried me on rybelsus also. But I unfortunately didn't respond well ended up with high numbers and feeling unwell. The thirst was maddening. Ultimately I was prescribed Libre(How I found your so helpful channel) and put on insulin. When I experience highs I feel like I am flushed in the face, may have a slight headache, feel fatigued and generally unwell. Lows mostly leave me feeling jittery, and feeling I need to eat something. But everyone is different and their body reacts differently, and can react differently on different days. Thank you for sharing your journey, and well made videos.

I was diagnosed coming on three years in December. I am LADA because my basal insulin needs are low but I do require normal amounts of insulin for meals. I'm still officially considered Type 1 though. I am on a pump/dex so my levels are pretty controlled, but I do have to say that because of a hypo late last year, I have a pretty strong phobia of going low now in the evening. I've lost a ton of weight that I really didn't need to lose. I'm actually trying to bring it back up some. My low symptoms are similar to yours. I get shaky and I can feel myself drop, (rollercoaster feeling), I get very panicked and can feel my heart start to race. My highs, I get overheated, need more water, and just feel all around crummy. I also experienced hair loss at around diagnoses but I think it's tapered off. I still lose but it's probably a normal amount. The thirst at diagnosis was something I can't describe to anyone.
