I got this question over the years but the idea here was that Luna saves Twilight at the end, literally carrying the friendship. At some point in the future, the two would rescue all their friends.

It's crazy seeing all the fans who were super young coming back to this now, a good decade out.

The little touch that Luna actually folds her wings to shield twilight for the shards is so sweet. Cannot believe I saw this 10 years ago. The memories of this fandom will last, and so will the friendships made through it.

Ah yes my 9 year old way of getting depressed before knowing it was a thing

Edit:Just finished cowboy bepbop and I remembered this existed and now I kinda apreciate it a little bit differently

There is something strangely nostalgic about this, and I don't think I've ever even seen it before. I haven't seen cowboy bebop either. The music and white visuals seem like something I would have seen in a dream when I was younger. I don't know how to explain this feeling - it's like that childhood memory that's so faint you can't tell if it was real or you just dreamt it. Maybe I did watch it when I was barely old enough to remember? I don't know. But there is something almost magical here

I remember being traumatized at 6. Now I understand how deep it actually is.

This is the most original Cowboy Bebop reference I have seen so far.

Well done.

Can we all please take a moment to appreciate that this MLP parody does the scene better than the Netflix adaptation of Cowboy Bebop.

I remember seeing this at the end of season 2 when it first came out, I was probably 8. Here I am at 18 and the show is finally over and watching this for the first time in 10 years sent chills down my spine. The nostalgia hit me so hard for no reason. I miss the old show. I miss my innocence man. Where did the time go....

You don't know the chokehold this video had over me the past years ever since I first saw it
Sometimes I randomly have the melody in my head and instantly think of this

i think about this video at least once a week, i first saw it in grade school (may 9 years old? not even?) and i'm in college now. talk about a core memory. someone else here said that for them, it felt like the kind of thing they would see in a dream, and i get that. a lot of people are saying nostalgia, too. for me, this video is such a soft memory. it's self-induced adolescent depression, yes, but it's more than that. it's undiagnosed autism, studio ghibli blue rays, the initial release of ts 1989, my parents' addictions, going to steak n shake before they closed, my sisters learning to drive.... it's remembering that even though my childhood wasn't a great one, it's still mine, and for that, i will always cherish it. it's that innocence of colorful ponies that you'll never get back. i'm sorry to randomly dump all this on a video that's now more than a decade old, but this video legitimately changed my life, and i think it's for the better. it's a piece of media that i can point to and say, "that, that shaped my childhood." thank you for that. i hope you, and everyone else here is doing well <3
