The only character that kept me interested to watch the whole season 2 was Chris Conner (Poe).

I didn't like it nearly as much as I did season 1. I feel like it lost something but I can't quite place what it is.
Anthony Mackie did well with what he was given, still preferred Kinnaman.

I felt the second season was a huge let down. S1 was edgy cyberpunk aimed squarely at adults with a good mix of heavy themes and badass action. S2 felt like a run of the mill CW or syfy channel show. Cheap looking and more concerned with love interest that genuine intrigue.

I actually think the show suffers from focusing solely on the adventures of Kovacs. The world building and concept is so good i think a sprawling ensemble like Game of Thrones style story would serve it better and allow for more exploration of themes.

I really didn't like the romance aspect of the show. How he would do everything for her like she is some awesome goddess. I dunno. It kinda bugs me.

It was 80% what season 1 was. Yet it could and should of been worse if it wasn't for the crazy good acting

I lie in the minority. Season 2 focused on Tak which I personally preferred and his history. Ironically the stuff I liked the most about season 1 was what they went into, the history of envoys and quell and the battle of stronghold. The modern day stuff was kinda like find replace murder mystery with cool scifi elements. I liked both seasons equally. In some regards season 2 more. U do make a good point about the coils though. As for the AIs I didnt see anything off there. The emitter explained some of it. As for how they just randomly created a new nevermore that felt exactly the same ... that was wierd. This season to me felt more about what I cared about. More takeshi. More Quell. More Elders. More history of the settled world and stacks. Could it have been executed better. Probably. And by far the biggest head scratcher was the fight between the two versions that should have ended in only one way; as u stated one has way more training. Also felt they wrote mackies takeshi as a bit more of a dick than season 1 takeshi. Especially where Poe was concerned. But I wondered if this was a result of killing his own sister and the fact that 30 years have passed so he has experienced different things. As quell said immortality will inevitably corrupt even the best of us.

Worst I can say is- SPOILERS-

It was forgettable may be because the big reveals were predictable and Alien plot wasn't exciting. Last season we were introduced to stacks. That was cool concept. This season didn't introduce anything cool like that neither anything special was added to stacks concept.
There is nothing much sci fi to watch in lockdown so I watched it.. If I wasn't stuck I would have probably skipped it.

Never made it through the 1st season . after watching this I wont bother with it anymore, Didnt go much on Picard either, 1st couple eps weren't bad, then it got silly and boring, but did watch them all. Devs is worth a watch even if just for its visuals and style and story telling, Don't know what to make of WestWorld S3, am disappointed they are only making 8eps though, but it looks sexy, you can tell its high budget, and it dosent seem to have the confusing timelines like that which ruined S02
