Raga GUJRI TODI:
This is one of the most popular “ragas” from the vast and varied traditional repertoire. Rendered in the first quarter of the morning, it is “Shadav” in its character. It makes use of “dhaivat” and “gandhar” as the “Vadi” and “Samvadi Swara”, respectively. The “Raga” conveys a mood of pathos and sadness.
