Our guest, Tsogtbayar Namsrai was born in Sverdlovsk, Russia in 1977. He grew up in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, and continues to work as a film producer in the niche markets for Mongolian filmgoers and those of the Mongolian diaspora. He graduated from the Khartsaga University of Motion Picture in Mongolia in 1997 and received a further film degree from the City College of San Francisco in 2002 from the City College of San Francisco. He now lives with his wife and two children in San Francisco, California.

He wears a variety of hats as a producer: he has been the President of sales company Mongol Films Distribution since 2015 and he has been the CEO of distribution company The Filmbridge LLC since 2018. The first feature for which he was the executive producer was Ten Soldiers of Genghis Khan in 2012. He has executive produced 17 other features from 2012 to 2020, with his most recent work on the 2020 feature Gergi.
