2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS review - amped up on luxury | @odmag

Mercedes-Benz has given its big SUV, the Mercedes-Benz GLS, a mid-life facelift. In this video, we tell you how the new GLS looks, and how it drives and also go through some of the new luxury feature additions on the inside. We also see if this genuinely is a functional three-row SUV.

On the inside, the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS gets new upholstery, more chrome and Maybach-themed trim. A big addition is that of the rear seat comfort package that adds an extended centre console in the back seat, a 7-inch tab to control the SUV’s functions, wireless charger, boss mode for the seats, five-zone climate control and two 11.6-inch touchscreens.

Other features include acoustic glass, soft-close doors, wireless Android Auto/Apple Carplay, ambient lighting, 13-speaker Burmester audio, heated and ventilated front seats, seat kinetics, air purifier, panoramic sunroof, powered steering adjustment and connected tech.

Seen here is the Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 powered by a 3.0-litre turbo-petrol with an electric supercharger thrown in. So you have 386PS and 500 Nm with the mild-hybrid system adding up to 20PS and 200 Nm. Pairing with this is a nine-speed automatic as well as AWD.

These brands putting lots of effort in seat cushions and suspension for comfortable ride, then completely ruins it up with 20, 21, 22 inch alloys.
Put 18-19" alloys with same dia tyre, these luxury cars will have good ride quality, instead giving thuds and sending road undulations to the occupants.
