If you want to get the same book I have, get the second edition of Genki, volume 1. The first edition is from 1999, so you wouldn't want to get that version.

Haha I just stumbled across your channel and subscribed ^^ Enjoyed the videos I've seen so far! I'm learning Japanese too, but I can't form sentences...like I know the vocabulary but can't stitch the words and right particles together 🙃 Not yet anyway...so wanted to ask, do you have any tips when trying to speak it? And have you started Kanji? By the way, did you buy the Genki workbook along with the textbook? I think it'd be helpful (I have them). I also want to learn German so I'm so impressed with your language progression!
