Hmm for 'pt 2' we could have taken a factor of 24 outside (making comparison with the direct integration in 'pt1' more plain). This gives:

24 * (1 - 1/3 + 1/5 - 1/7 + 1/9...)

It is interesting how (given the solution contains 'pi/4') the convergence of the power series is so gradual (i.e. requires so many terms for even moderate accuracy)

why are you writing x^2+4 as (2)^2+x^2?
