He finally did it guys, he finally dedicated an entire video to Max 🎉
It’s been a long time coming! 😁

Joel was definitely fan-boying during that seminar

Mans made Kelly Clarkson, Pink, Katy Perry's careers. I think Pink said it best that his musical knowledge is so vast. There probably isn't anything he couldn't write if he was asked to.

like two year ago i had just discovered the "written by so-and-so" on spotify and i saw max martin and was like holy shit this guy wrote every song on the planet

I think early on he had a specific type of sound, mainly due to him writing most of the lyrics. However, as his career progressed and he started crafting the songs around the artists vision, the sound became more tailored to the artist. That's just what I think.

He also sounds like a super nice person. Ariana Grande recently said in an interview that he has been a really good friend to her and has been helping her deal with childhood trauma.

Joel mentions max martin in nearly every single video with such happiness, this video has been a long time coming but it’s been great. Thank you Joel for your enthusiasm and detailed analysis

The level of giddiness is absolutely awesome 😂. Love when Joel talks nerdy 🤓

"Most people don't know of him"
Me: I DO THANKS TO YOU, JOEL!

At some point I stopped being surprised that he was behind these #1 songs lmao

Just saw the thumbnail and it made me smile. Of course Roomie’s hero would be Max Martin! It’s the love letter of the year! :)

He also wrote "That's The Way It Is" which was performed by Celine Dion.

I can totally hear the distinct rhythmic singing in his music. I agree the rest of his sound is harder to pinpoint. But that almost staccato singing really stands out to me.

Heck yeah! Knew exactly who he was talking about😂

He definitely loves one syllable words next to each other wrapped in a staccato melody, it makes songs so hooky

When I tell you I NEED more videos like this, you geeking out and info dumping on people and stuff that you like, it's always fun to learn something new through the eyes of someone who's passionate about it!

I didn't actually thought Sweden has SO MUCH impact on modern pop. But it makes total sense. ABBA was ahead of their times for sure.

The man is extremely talented; amazing how many artists he has worked with.

This is so interesting! I would like to see u doing more of these deep dives about other producers work too 🙂 I realized that I know nothing about Max Martin and he seems to have been behind every iconic pop songs through my life 😂

Not a big Weeknd fan but I love "Can't Feel My Face" WAY more than "Blinding Lights." The bass line in Can't Feel My Face is just phenomenal. I will play that song on repeat several times.

Honestly he’s one of my favourite songwriters. I would support you in him being crowned the greatest songwriter of all time.
