I started teeing a little lower and my drives have improved not only in distance but accuracy. Middle height is what works best for me. Tried higher and moving the ball up in my stance to try and hit up at the ball on the swing and it just wasn't consistent enough. Too many pop ups.

Half of the ball above the height of the driver head at rest is “standard”. But I’ve actually been teeing up much lower and moving the ball more to the middle of my stance as well! I’ve also changed my grip. No more rockets to the moon or 200 yard boomerangs into the forest since I made those changes. I now comfortably drive 260-270 with a slight fade; even my irons are much straighter.
