MERCY RESURRECT CHANGE EXPLAINED! | Lunar New Year Event 2022

After today's Lunar New Year Event went live, we got Seolbim Mercy and a small "buff" to Resurrect. The wording on the patch note really confused me, so I thought I'd make a quick video to hopefully help anyone who felt the same way!

I’m glad they’re making all these quality of life updates for mercy. Her GA and Resurrect got some nice updates.

Maybe next patch they can finally let the beam stay attached when activating Valkyrie, and allowing mercy’s resurrect to revive the franchise

As far as I can tell, this just makes falling rezzes easier to execute, at least visually. But yeah the way they worded the patch was absolutely confusing.

I was watching ML7 earlier testing it, and what I found weird was if someone dies above the pit (even when at the sky box), a soul just doesn’t appear? If there is ground underneath them when they die, the soul shows up to catch it. But over a pit, it doesn’t. Do you happen to know about this?
Also, thank you for the video! This does better explain what this was meant to do.

so basically they just made it stay
it stayed on old version too from the perspective of the mercy rez area but the soul still slid down and it rezed where the soul landed and caused confusion, good change

Thank You for helping us understand this change better than the notes ever could. Resurrect is a controversial ability but maybe this QoL change will get to stick long around to see its impact.
