I call these guys “meeps” cause I think that’s the sound they make. I think a limited vocabulary like that suits the mechanism as the less lip syncing the better. They also make fun little toys.

I think the dizzy eye helps with the "looking up" problem. Kinda works the flaw into the character design. I think a character that's upside down would be an interesting choice for this kinda puppet.

Can you do a puppet cat or another animal? I would love to learn the added task of a making a body basically behind the puppet instead of the traditional style With the hand through the puppet but how to make the puppet so the hand is only in the front portion with a body behind behind and where to hide the hand under the cat in a good way. Thank you for teaching us these techniques.
