I remember when i played volleyball in highschool, my mom had a huge accident and was absent for all of my games. I understood why she couldn't come and i was okay with it but one day she & my step dad decided to suprise me. In the middle of my game i look to the side and see her sitting in her wheelchair, i burst out crying bc i was so happy. Parents/guardians..showing up to your kids' school functions really does matter.

Not having at least one family member at an event that's important for you really hurts. But having someone go out of their way to make sure you're not feeling lonely, is the best feeling you could possibly have.
