AoE2 Hidden Cup #2 | Grand Final AND Reveal!

The Grand Final of Hidden Cup 2 that made AoE2 History. This event exceeded all expectations. From the quality of games, the viewership, and the guessing fun. A record of 17,690 people were watching live at one point, and over 300,000 people attended the livestream over the course of the four days. The Youtube playlist is already on fire and I couldn't be more proud. Thank you everyone for supporting myself and making this possible. In the World cup, we were all going nuts over Rubenstock because their strat was throwing a player into the woodchipper and assuring one player booms big time. We forget that in the final game, Max and Rubenstock got a map position that forced Max to do the Rubenstrat and he pulled it off. He's a complete player.

Being a Chinese, I think I know why some Chinese players type in all caps. Because their default input language is Chinese as they type. Capslock switches the input language to English. Some (me included) use other hotkeys to switch between Chinese and English.

Just imagine what TheMax could be capable of if he played regular 1v1s. If he could refine some of his already great strategising he could match Viper.

I love Viper but it was unfortunate not to see someone else win but honestly it didn't matter much to me in the end as we saw some of the greatest games I have ever seen. Especially that G1 between MBL and Viper. Unbelievable viewing at times.

Oh and you mentioned it a few times throughout the tournie but I've never seen a bigger demonstration of the importance of scouting! I think a lot of players fall down on this point

Loved how Viper drew all the attention because we knew it was him stright after game 1, while Max knocked everyone out on the other side and still remained hidden, which built up to a final where we knew it was Viper versus a true unstoppable force. Congrats for an amazing tournament!
