CHROME OS Flex PLAY STORE, CHROME OS Flex Android Apps and CHROME OS Flex DUAL BOOT in 2023

CHROME OS FLEX is the "BRAND NEW" operating system from Google - CHROME OS - based on Neverware's CloudReady OS - that can be installed on any PC or Laptop. Now you can Install CHROME OS FLEX on any PC or Laptop and "enjoy" almost full Chromebook experience.

CHROME OS FLEX Play Store - Unfortunately we don't have PLAY STORE access.

CHROME OS FLEX Android Apps and APKs - No. you can't side load Android Apps on it either.

CHROME OS FLEX Dual Boot Windows 11 - CHROME OS FLEX Dual Boot Windows 10 - According to Google, dual booting is not supported on CHROME OS Flex devices. If you want to try CHROME OS FLEX while keeping your computer’s existing data and OS, you can run CHROME OS FLEX from the USB installer without actually installing it.

So, that being said, I hope you enjoy the video and if you do then don't forget to like it and, why not, SUBSCRIBE so you won't miss out the new videos to come.

Cheers!

I hope it is just a matter of being at an early phase, that they hopefully will add option for Play Store for future versions.
If I can't have Play Store, there is no use for Chrome OS Flex.

But it might be from compatibility concerns. They might want some control regarding hardware compatibility.

Very well said on this video, google just did it on purpose to restrict the apps and restrict the dual boot. Frankly they are just shooting themselves on the foot!

I have a USB drive with ChromeOS flex. It works on an old PC, but without PlayStore it is not of great interest to users. And with playstore, nobody needs buy a chromebook any more, so not interesting to google.
In theory I can use ChromeOS on a borrowed PC. But I think it might be easy to erase the hard disk of the borrowed PC if not careful with the boot menu. So I agree with you. I like my silent, fast-start chromebook that runs the same apps as on my phone.

Anyone know if there's a system monitor to actually check the amount of resources that Chrome OS uses? It would be nice to know how it stacks up against Ubuntu 20.04 LTS for example.

Hi, wanted to try this on my old lappy, but no play store kills it. Which android OS would you suggest for i5 430M + 3 gb ram lappy. Suggestion would help me review my 12 year old lappy! Thanks.

The fact that you can’t dual boot kills it for me. The play store is also unfortunate but I can live without that.

I agree with you I think they purchased cloud-ready just to eliminate competition for their Chromebooks

the good thing bout chrome os FLEX is the speed, cause this OS is really really fast, even if you have a very slow computer.

I believe google will have to affect Chromebook market if it wants chromeOS to compete with windows. Most of us are tired of Windows because of its lag but we have no better alternative.

Firstly it is in development and will have lots of bugs. Google also has a list of certified models which will work. Your definition of what a useful operating system is going to change based upon the usecase. A person who spends most of their time on the web, Chrome OS flex makes alot of sense. I find the criticism that Chrome OS is "useless" unfounded. If you're expecting Chrome OS to play triple A games and do complex video editing, then you've already misundertood the whole purpose of Chrome OS.

A person who uses a Unix-like OS will understand that having Windows OS on a machine which just browsers, doesn't make a load of sense. It's slow, bloated and insecure. What's the point of giving up the efficienty, relability and security of a Unix-like OS for Windows, just because there's a small chance a person who browses mainly may want to do something else heavy like gaming. Chrome OS as a package is a lot better than most Linux distros if you're just going to use it for web browsing, it's more consistent and is more well put together.
