Thank you so much for your beautiful tutorial . Your instructions are very clear and concise and I feel you gave me enough information to improve on my watercolour artwork 100%. By instinct, I have been making my art more opaque using watercolour paints just by rubbing the brush on the pan over and over again to load the brush thickly, however I haven’t Waited for the previous layer to dry . You can imagine that the outcome isn’t as wonderful as yours . Thank you again for the inspiration.

I tried your method and even though I was not as meticulous as you, it still turned out amazing! For the first time in my life, I achieved a satisfying level of realism with watercolor and I didn't even use super small brushes like you do in your videos. I also used the techniques that you don't use for coloring. But the overarching logic of your method really was enough for me to achieve a high level of realism in my painting. I think even people who don't want to draw super realistic images like that would benefit a lot from learning your method. Thank you!

I have your watercolor book published in 2018. Love it. Will share with my watercolor class that I teach. We are all seniors which can be challenging at times. But we make it through. Thank you for sharing.

I like the lightest, darkest then mids approach because my paper is usually overworked by the time Im ready for the darkest if I go in a linear direction of lightest to darkest and by then the paper won't hold new paint properly.

Exercise patience and self-control? Sounds crazy, but I'll give it a try. ;-) That is my number one problem, yet I also tend to overthink my work, so it's a bit of a bind. My quick studies work well (but the technique is somewhat undefined), while 'finished' pieces are a bit dead. I love how your paintings are so well controlled, but also vibrant.

Hi Anna, I love your videos but I wonder if you can talk about how to draw for watercolour? I kind of get confused as to how much information to draw for watercolour. I know you have to do it lightly but how light? Will it show up under the watercolour? Can it be erased after applying the paint?
