one game online this guy was absolutely killing me.  he was up a piece, had outplayed me in the opening ending up with better pawn structure and center, he was starting to move very quickly without thinking, being reckless, because he clearly thought I was terrible. I then realized by coincidence, nothing I had planned, that my queen and light square bishop were aimed at F7 for checkmate - however I had two knights in the way of the queen.  my next 2 moves, I moved the knights into the middle of the board where he gobbled them with pawns quickly.  boom, I played queen to F7 checkmate.  I invited him to play a second game it took him 60 seconds to accept it, he never left the board...  I could tell he was just starting at his computer in shock.  the funny thing is, it's because he thought I was terrible that he didn't bother to check why I was moving those knights.  He just assumed I was that bad because of how bad my first 10 moves were compared to his.  so there is almost an advantage in beginning the game badly, if the opponent stops checking for tactics etc.

You're going to have to analyze this loss. That queen was pretty cramped.

Love how this video is a bit more laid back and not as prepared as your regular vids!

I admire this guy, this is the beauty of chess, when you met players with a higher rate you always stretch after loosing, but he did his best. Salute bro, anyway we have the same level, i'm 1960 maximum, but my comportable rate is 1800 up to 1850...we might make a good game one of these days. cheers!

Hi, I’m a 1500 player and I’m supposedly going to have to play a 2000 rated player at a tournament this weekend and I really wanted to look at his games, but I don’t know how to. It’s a USCF rated tournament, meaning he is registered as a USCF member. Is it possible for me to look at his old games? And if so, how? Thanks!

My best win against a higher ranked was having 1 pawn and only the King against 5 pawns, rook, and knight and the newly developed ran out of time :-)Best is to distract them by chat.

What do you mean, that players won't analyse their games? It's the only reason I brought a notepad with me to a school tornament, so that A: I will start getting used to play and writing moves, and B: I will have my "most serious play" to analyse and to make improvements on.
