I agree, Efren's Z-shot was the absolute greatest! He HAD to make that shot, it was hill-hill and if he missed he'd have lost the tournament. Definitely the GOAT! Great video Thanks!

Efren is the original magician.
Melling is the successor.
Great shots!

Very well put together collection of shots. I was glad to see many shots here that I've never seen before, but from the time I clicked on this video I had hoped you placed the "magician shot" at number one...and you didn't fail to impress. From the moment he made that shot, everyone realized that in order to be the best in the future...they would have to find new ways to make their A-games even stronger. Efren Reyes sparked an evolution in pool that brought about so many of the unbelievable players we have the pleasure to watch today.

Efren is the goat. Every other highlight reel was a Efren miracle shot. humble and a great attitude win or lose. there should really be an award that honors his name

yes, Efren's Z shot is the greatest billiard shot of all time.

Another thing amazing about that last shot is Earl Strickland had a well deserved reputation back then as a sore loser and would fly off the handle about every little thing.

But even he respected and applauded that shot.
He later in became one Efren Reyes greatest supporters.

Great choices! In some pool has unlimited options, the only problem is that you have to envision the shot and then pull it off. Kudos to the asters on your selections.

Great video! Yes, the Z shot was the greatest shot ever attempted on a hill-hill match and still impresses me every time I see it. I have not seen anything like that again.

Bata is in universe of his own. Laughing at the shots he makes. Time and time again.

The Z-shot is still the best shot of all times because it's a hill-hill match. One mistake and you lose. He's opponent is Earl Strickland which is really great in pocketing.

Guauu!!!!

Agreed, he showed us all mr Reyes how to make a cue ball in a 3rd demeanor to play a ball,

From the point shot to the first ever the zig zag shot, again making the pool or billiards scratch there heads,

Not that we could not do it, but he invented to show us more what can be done with a cue ball

Good video also

Great selection. Thank you so much!
Circumstances concerning one's career and the particular situation within the match and the tournament is of a great importance adding to the difficulty of a trick-shot. Considering Europe vs USA long lasting pool drama and the brilliance of Jimmie White's phenomenal 9-ball combination shot, I'm curious about the comments silence here.
100% positive about the "Magician" being ranked as number one. Probably some American folks still didn't know at that time Earl was playing against the best player ever and still wondered why the match was prized so high $$$s.
The 8-ball game included at least 3 trick-shots. ;)

No Minnesota Fats or Willie Mosconi? I've seen them, and Efren is the best I have ever seen. Imagination in competition leads to excellence, and Efren has enough imagination for all of us! Nice Video.
