This one gives me goosebumps every time. It's like going into the sadness and nonsense of war. For those who think that Sabaton praise war... Just look at this, and shut up. The video is amazing and very touching

It made me cry the first time I heard it. My grandfather served in WWI. He was 16 in 1916 when he enlisted. He never spoke of the war. My father fought in WWII and Korea. I have ancestors who fought in the American Revolution, the War of 1812, and our Civil War (both sides). I have cousins who fought and died in Viet Nam, and Iraq and Afghanistan. Listening to it still makes my heart heavy. It's a beautiful song, and the video is heart-rending. Thank you, Sabaton.

I remember the names of my great-grandfathers who all fought in the Great War and my great-great-uncle who died at just 23 years old in 1917.

I hope you guys take time often to sit down in silence and truly reflect on the deep and lasting impact you've had on so many other human beings. After reading the 50 comments ahead of this one...the emotions of other fans are hitting me just as hard as the song/video. ♥️

Everytime will make me cry and thank my family for what they have done for 600 years, fight for the countries we had, and i thank them for their sacrifices

I was brought to the edge of tears when I first heard and sang along to this cover song and I had a emotional lump in my throat when watching this homage to the late Lemmy Kilmister. And sometimes when I sing along after a long day at work, I do cry at the crescendo. Especially at the lyrics of the soldier's friends' dead body growing colder and when the soldier cries for his mother. It's truly an ode to all who have gone to war and have experienced the exact same situation as sung in this song. And that if Lemmy was still with us, he would love this cover of his ballad.

Thank you for this amazing tribute

My great-uncle at the age of 16 fought at the Somme which he survived, in 1917 fought at Paschendalle. Both songs remind what he had endured at such a young age - lest we forget F.L.

Such songs make the heart shrink and ache, make you remember people who should not be forgotten, even if we do not know their names. You begin to appreciate the sunrises and sunsets, to understand the value of life, which the warriors lost, who went into the white haze of the sky, remaining forever young...😢🕯️

It breaks my heart. I cried the first few times I listened to it. So many generations of my family have fought in one war or another, back to the American Revolution and beyond and I'm engaged to a soldier so this really hits hard.

🔥❤️‍🔥Love this song, goosebumps whenever I hear it... and nearly drives me to tears... and your video is so awesome... Watching you and all the "soldiers" and the other people marching through the streets togehter with Mikkey Dee und Phil Campbell, wearing a photo of Lemmy, always gives me chills... Your video shows the madness and senselessness of war in a very special way. Thank you, Sabaton! 🔥❤️‍🔥

One of the bests songs you have done. Even if it is a cover. ❤

The line, "And I called for my mother...never came..." Chokes me up EVERY time 😢, mind blowing how many soldiers (every war, all over the world!!) have "called for their mother"! 😫 Thank you guys for the powerful history lessons ❤️🥰

I was wounded twice in Iraq in 06, my mother died within minutes of the second time. My family nearly lost half its number in one day. I love this song more than I could ever explain, it says it all.

I listen to it often and cry every time. My Dad lied about his age for WWII, my brother was a Marine that served in Vietnam, my son deployed to Iraq 3 times spent 3 years there, during the beginning of that war. I can feel the complete emotion in every line in this song.
