When I listen to this song, I imagine this:


I imagine that I have just started a career in motorsport, and I'm about to step into the car for my very first race. Lots of other cars are around me, trying to achieve one goal: victory. As soon as the lights go out, I put the pedal to the floor to begin my journey through motorsport.

GRID was the peak of simcade racing for me.

It's the series that made me fall in love with the genre and truly showcased how surreal and aesthetic the simcade racing genre is.

It highlighted how the simcade racer makes things seem realistic and grounded, but mixing in some of that arcadey exaggeration. Creating a feeling of surrealism on the road.

It's beautiful, and Codemasters will forever be the greatest to ever do simcades.
