Nice idea. Been watching your videos for a lot of years along with a few others. I'm not the best but can do most of the basics, however I just like watching woodworking. So thanks, keep up the good work mate.

So glad you posted this. Thanks much. I purchased the moxon vise last week and immediately found this problem frustrating. Thanks for solving it for us!

Well it took a little while to come up with a solution since you were first asked about this but it was well worth the wait. Great bit of engineering.

Rob, can you do some dowels or something on the bottom of the moxon vise that line up with the dog holes on your bench so you don't even need the clamps?

I added a heavy shelf on mine, flush with top of the jaws behind the back jaw. The shelf also serves as a platform to chop the dovetails on when covered with a bit of plywood to protect it.

WooHoooo A new Cosman video. Always makes my day. So is it a jig? Or a fixture? I say fixture. What say you?

Hey Rob, loving the content, as always! Question - have you had any issues with Trend diamond plates being out of flat? I recently purchased one and had to send it back because no matter how long I tried to flatten the back of my chisel, it wasn't working. I took the chisel to my granite stone and flattened it with sandpaper, but when I returned to the Trend plate, it was out of flat again. I'm hesitant to buy another Trend stone now, although their customer service is excellent. Any suggestions for an alternative?

Can/will you provide name/link of magnet supplier along with type/size/strength please?

Efficiency is intelligent This is good. I have seen your method using the plane and the boards to set height. I had wondered about making a little L thing like what goes on top of the board in this jig to make sure the board in the Moxon vice is plumb and square to use for the old way with the hand plane to set height. If I was to try it by feel, it would most likely be off by a tiny bit always...Yes, I know you can never idiot proof anything because as soon as you do, some one invents a better This comes close though.

What variety of wood is it on the drill press fence?

Rob, while you are really flowing in the shop, what do you do with bits of waste and offcuts, or shavings from your planes? Do you have a bucket to just brush off the waste and keep rolling, or what. Also, what scraps do you personally decide to keep? Do you throw them out or sort them at the end of a project once you don’t need a grain match?

What does Rob mean by "cup and magnet?" Those magnets that come with a recess and hole for screws or does he do something different?
