But they are not being allowed to see the Al Jazeera Discover Channel.
Its blocked by Snapchat because the Saudi government said the channel's content violates cybercrime laws.
Its the latest punishment announced by Saudi leaders after they cut diplomatic ties with Qatar and imposed a land, sea and air blockade on June 5th - and so did several other neighbouring countries.
They accuse Qatar of supporting terrorism - allegations strenuously denied.
Should social media companies such as Snapchat bow to any country’s political agenda?
And who decides where to draw the line between freedom of expression and silencing the media?

Shame on snap for abandoning principles. Local laws can and often are very unjust - if a country asks for the private information of its users, snap has proven that it will just hand over the info.

You can't expect capitalist corporations to take moral stand over profit!!Sadly we are in a age that information is greatly distributed over the internet which is in part the media and publisher's fault for over relying on these corporations!!

PEOPLE have families to care for, why on earth would they try and hurt the people!! Access to knowledge must be available to all, so as the people may formulate their own ideas and decision. There are so much more issues that could be addressed than this
