The AWS Well-Architected Tool allows you to review the state of your applications and workloads against architectural best practices in AWS.

Hi Guys, this is Abi from GokceDB and in this video you are going to learn 5 things about the Well-Architected Tool in AWS. Let's get into it.

1. The AWS Well-Architected Tool provides a consistent process for evaluating and identifying areas for improvement in workloads, as well as guidance on implementing best practices to improve the overall architecture.

2. The tool offers a set of questions and best practices aligned with the 6 pillars of the AWS Well-Architected Framework: operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, cost optimization and sustainability. It allows users to conduct a review of their architecture by answering a set of questions related to each of these pillars, and provides guidance on how to address any areas of concern or improvement including a cost estimate.

3. It enables you to create your own custom lenses, which means you can add your own best practices pillars and questions based on what’s most important to your organization.

4. With the AWS Well-Architected Tool, you can easily share your workloads and custom lenses with up to 300 individual IAM users or accounts, or across an entire organization through integration with AWS Organizations.

5. As of this recording, this tool is available free of charge to AWS customers and you only pay for your underlying AWS resources. It can be used to evaluate workloads running on any AWS service, including EC2, S3 & RDS.

In summary, the AWS Well-Architected Tool helps organizations improve the security, reliability, and efficiency of their workloads on AWS while reducing costs and increasing agility.

There you have it.
