Ingredients
Green gram- 1 1/2 cup
All purpose flour- 2 cups
Jaggery - 250 gram
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Cardamom - 3 or 4 nos
Cumin seed - 1 tsp
Salt - 1 or 2 tbsp
Method
Heat water in a pan
Then we have to wash the green gram two to three times.
After that, drain and set aside.
Then add green gram into the hot water pan .
Sprinkle some salt and mix them well.
Cover and cook them well.
Then crush cardamom and set aside.
Remove the lid and check whether the green gram is well cooked or not
When the green gram is thoroughly cooked, remove it from the heat and set it aside.
Drain excess water and set aside.
In a mixing bowl, add all-purpose flour,cumin seeds and turmeric powder
Pour little by little amounts of water to create a smooth, slightly thick batter.
In a bowl, add cooked green gram , jaggery and cardamom powder.
Mix them well with neat hands.
Heat oil in pan
Then make some small sized balls with the green gram mixture.
Dip the green gram balls into the batter.
Then put them into the oil.
Fry them well till they become a light golden brown .
Set aside after draining.
Serve the tasty sukhiyan with tea or coffee.
