Hey there, I just want to point some things out from a year's experience with my own '07 Cobalt LS. The Cobalt is a decent platform to build up and tune because it is a cheaper platform, and shares many parts with other vehicles, such as the HHR and G5. It isn't the fastest, by any means, but is a decent platform to get started into car modifications, and the interior is relatively easy to modify or dress up, too. My Cobalt lends itself to be more of a daily driver than a racecar, but when built correctly, these cars can make for some pretty cool canyon carvers or track day warriors. You mentioned that the Cobalt isn't a great car to tune but I beg to differ. It's well known that the LNF SS can be easily modded relatively cheaply. To start off, a simple ZZP ECU tune on a stock 2.0 will get you to around 300hp & 320 ft lbs for 150 bucks.

I'm possibly buying a 2005 cobalt sedan, it's Chameleon 2 tone blue fade purple, sittin on raceland Coilovers lowered 1 inch, BBS 18" rims, aftermarket cold air intake, Megan down pipe Borla cat back exhaust, The Headlights are Aftermarket L.E.D. the taillights are smoked L.E.D, a aftermarket touchscreen Navi system, JbL concert series 6 1/2" door speakers and 6x9 JbL concert series rear deck speakers, 2 12" skar evl series 2 subs in a vented Box, the rear deck wing is custom and overall it looks pretty cool, if I do buy it I'm building the engine internals and adding an Aftermarket supercharger and installing a stage 3 clutch etc, it has been taken care of since day one one owner low miles (45, 000) and I can buy it for cheap as a Replacement for my Totaled out 2011 Ford Focus SeS

i have that same car 2006 chevy cobalt same color base model but it seems to give me a stiff ride .

You can’t tune the 2006 unless it is the ss but the 2007 and up you can tune with it being the ss or not
