I imagine there would be continuous hr meetings on dark humor cause its literally a 50/50 shot whether the aliens joke actually land and they cant figure out what exactly qualifies for the right time and right joke for dark humor to work. They dont give up though cause the good and bad human reactions are interesting to them

Puns, like any joke, rely on presentation. Inflection, tone, and timing are just as important as the phrasing itself. They're easy to do, but particularly difficult to do well.

Its also your voice, i remember long ago telling jokes in high school and it was like "hehe..." a couple smiles and thats it. Then a boy on the table next to mine would tell the exact same joke word by word and everyone would laugh...
