I think the tv reporter mispronouncing all of their names is a nod to the fact that it’s media and they always spin things or get things totally wrong.

Even though he won’t be in the reboot series, I wrote a fan letter to Michael Bell just recently and one of the things I said in there was that the fights between Stu and Drew Pickles were always the funniest and most entertaining. I also told him that he and rest of the old adult cast went together “like peanut butter and jelly, or chocolate pudding and green jello.”
