I try out a $60 wash bag for your dirty laundry while at camp against a 20 cent ziplock bag

Wtf why would you not use the same soap?

Why waste $60 on a scrubba? Instead buy a dry bag for around $20, grab a plastic soap holder (the kind with nubbies on it) at the dollar store and you're good to go for a fraction of the cost! Toss the soap holder into the bag with clothes, and a few drops of soap and scrub for a few minutes. You don't even need the soap holder if the clothes aren't heavily soiled.

Since you used different soaps, you invalidated your test. You definitely had the option of using the same soap for both washes. It's not only 'not scientific', it's just plain irrelevant.

You have to add more water to it, all you are doing is spreading the dirt through the sock. add a whole container of water, do your 3 minutes, then you drain and do it again to rinse the loosened dirt off the sock. The soap is the agent that allows it to slip off the threads and into the rinse water.

Thank you for the comparison! I cannot afford a Scrubba, but definitely can get a zip lock. :)
