Thank you! I kept trying to find out how to do this and all my searches showed me how to add or change a password to Microsoft, but not for my computer itself. I have seen others ask the same question, and others would explain how to set up a Microsoft password. Now, to find where Windows 11 has hidden the other things I have always used.

when i try to set a password to my laptop, it shows a "change" button instead of an "add" button. and when i click change, it takes me to go change my microsoft account password, but i don't want that. what do i do?

Am confused, there are 2 types of passwords, Microsoft pass and user pass . First i was asked to set user password, And then when I restart it asked me for Microsoft password ! Wth is that ?

Now I turned off asking me for Microsoft password but it never ask for user password !

I want to press sleep button and when i awake screen i want to type user password to use pc , not Microsoft password .

How to do that ?

Win 11 is not out yet how did you get it

Those who are signed in with Microsoft account they can either sign in by that password or by pin . U can't use different password for the system.

What about password hint? It's showing your password hint cannot contain your password
