Ford has not figured out that pickup trucks are NOT Cadillacs and overpriced.

A couple years ago the dealers were gleefully tacking on an extra $10k to MSRPs "just because" and now chickens are coming home to roost. Short sighted greed is a good long term business plan.

Charging $100K for trucks that cost about $20K to assembly, I have no sympathy for Ford.

Ripping off customers with $100K truck, you reap what you saw!!

Are you kidding me? A thousand dollars more than 5 years ago? A thousand? More like Ten Thousand or more! Car ownership cost has increased across the board. Interest rates, insurance rates, fuel costs as reliability has plummeted. A car has grown into a money pit.

Customers are shelling out more than a thousand dollars per vehicle. It's more like ten thousand dollars per vehicle!

I worked for Ford dealerships turning wrenches most of my early years. I earn a strong income but no way could I afford to drive a new Ford truck. Its a depreciating asset and shouldn't be competing with my mortgage payment.. they priced themselves out of the middle class market! Only the lucky lottery winner could afford one now.

Losing money on every EV sold is dumb. ICE makes money.

One basic business fact I learned as an artist in a co-op gallery is that you should always have available some sort of affordable cash flow item. It might not be hugely profitable, or the thing you want to be known for, but it can help cover part of routine operating costs.

funny isnt it.. you lay off quality engineers and leave only a skeleton crew of lower level engineers and they you amazingly start having massive recalls.. Live by the bean counters rules and die by them also. Cutting corners has already put Stellantis out of business. Expect to see not just ford dealers closing but DCJR dealers to be following.. Cannot keep paying flooring on millions of unsold vehicles for years at a time. GM is not far behind
